Wukong was angry at the guard at the southern gate of Heaven.
悟空对天堂南门的守卫很生气。
"Why can't you close the gate and dim the stars?"
"你为什么不能关上大门，让星星变暗？"
The guard looked nervous.
守卫看起来很紧张。
"I can do that only if I have permission from the Jade Emperor."
“只有得到玉皇大帝的允许，我才能这么做。”
"I'm trying to save the Tang Monk!" cried Wukong.
“我在救唐僧！”悟空叫道。
"A demon is planning to eat him."
“有恶魔要吃他。”
"I'm sorry," said the guard.
“对不起，”警卫说。
"But I can't help you."
“但我帮不了你。”
Wukong's eyes became dark and angry.
悟空的眼睛变得黑暗而愤怒。
He pulled the iron bar out of his ear.
他把铁棒从耳朵里拔出来。
A messenger ran into the Cloud Palace and bowed.
一个使者跑进云宫，躬身行礼。
"Sun Wukong is at the southern gate of Heaven, Your Majesty.
“孙悟空在天庭南门，陛下。
He's going to destroy Heaven if we don't do what he says."
如果我们不按他说的做，他将毁灭天堂。”
The Jade Emperor slammed his fist down.
玉皇大帝的拳头猛然落下。
"That rotten monkey!
“臭猴子！
What does he want?"
他想要什么？”
"He wants us to close the gate and dim the stars," said the messenger.
“他想让我们关上大门，让星星变暗，”信使说。
"Why?" asked the emperor.
“为什么？”皇帝问。
"He wants to pretend Heaven got sucked into a gourd," said the messenger.
“他想假装天堂被吸进了葫芦里，”信使说。
The Jade Emperor looked confused.
玉皇大帝一脸疑惑。
"Why does he want to do that?"
“他为什么要这么做？”
"He didn't say," said the messenger.
“他没说，”信使说。
"He just said he's trying to save the Tang Monk."
“他刚才说要救唐僧。”
The Jade Emperor sighed.
玉皇大帝叹了口气。
"You have my permission to close the gate and dim the stars.
“我允许你关上大门，让星星变暗。
I don't want any more trouble from that monkey."
我可不想再惹那只猴子的麻烦。”
The messenger returned to the gate.
使者回到了大门。
"We will close the gate and dim the stars," he said.
“我们会关上大门，让星星变暗，”他说。
"Good," said Wukong.
“好，”悟空说。
He put the iron bar back in his ear.
他把铁棒放回耳朵里。
"Wait until I say 'Heaven.'"
“等我说‘天堂’。”
Wukong returned to his body, which was still in disguise as a demon.
悟空回到了他的身体，身体仍然伪装成恶魔。
"Now I will call to Heaven," said the monkey to the demon.
“现在我要召唤天堂，”猴子对恶魔说。
"The whole place will get sucked into this gourd."
“整个地方都会被这个葫芦吸进去。”
He held up the gourd. "Heaven!"
他举起葫芦。“天堂！”
Right away the sky went dark.
天空立刻变暗了。
"Amazing!" cried the demon.
“太神奇了！”恶魔喊道。
"All of Heaven is now in that gourd?"
“诸天都在那个葫芦里？”
"Yes," said Wukong.
“是的。”悟空说。
"All the stars, planets, spirits, and gods are in here.
“所有的星辰、星球、神灵和神灵都在这里。
Even the Cloud Palace is in here, with the Jade Emperor too!
连云霄宫都在这里，跟玉皇大帝一样！
Now I will let Heaven back out."
现在我要让天堂退出。”
He held up the gourd. "Heaven, return!"
他举起葫芦。“天堂，回来！”
The sky lit up again.
天空再次亮了起来。
"Fascinating!" said the demon.
“迷人！”恶魔说。
"Let's trade gourds!"
“葫芦交易吧！”
He handed his gourd to Wukong.
他把葫芦递给悟空。
Wukong gave the fake gourd to the demon.
悟空把假葫芦给了恶魔。
Then he made the real gourd tiny and hid it in his robe.
然后他把真正的葫芦做得很小，藏在长袍里。
"I'll try to capture Heaven now," said the demon.
“我现在要试着占领天堂，”恶魔说。
He held up the gourd. "Heaven!"
他举起葫芦。“天堂！”
Nothing happened.
什么也没发生。
"Heaven!" said the demon again. "Heaven! Heaven!"
“天堂！”恶魔又说。“天堂！天堂！”
He looked at the gourd.
他看着葫芦。
"This gourd isn't working.
“这个葫芦不好使。
What's wrong with it?"
怎么了？”
Wukong laughed and made the fake gourd disappear.
悟空哈哈大笑，让假葫芦消失了。
Then he made himself invisible.
然后他让自己隐形了。
"I was tricked!" cried the demon.
“我被骗了！”恶魔喊道。
"I must tell Golden Horn."
“我必须告诉金角。”
The demon ran off, and Wukong followed.
恶魔跑了，悟空也跟着跑了。
Soon the road went up a mountain.
很快这条路就上山了。
The demon ran into a cave.
恶魔跑进了一个山洞。
Wukong made himself visible and stormed into the cave.
悟空让人看见自己，冲进山洞。
Looking around at the group of demons, he pulled out his iron bar.
看着周围的一群恶魔，他拔出了铁棒。
"Return my friends at once!" he shouted.
“马上把我的朋友还给我！”他喊道。
"Or I'll clobber all of you!"
“不然我就揍你们！”
"Ahh!" cried the small demons.
“啊！”小恶魔们叫道。
They ran in every direction, tripping over one another.
他们向四面八方跑去，互相绊倒。
Wukong swung his iron bar at Golden Horn.
悟空向金角挥舞铁棒。
The demon stepped out of the way and pulled a golden rope from his sleeve.
恶魔闪开，从袖子里抽出一根金色的绳子。
He swung the rope, and it shot toward Wukong.
他一甩绳子，绳子就射向悟空。
The monkey tried to get out of the way, but the rope snagged him.
猴子想让开，但绳子把他缠住了。
It looped around his waist.
它绕在他的腰上。
The more Wukong tried to wriggle free, the tighter the rope got.
悟空越想挣脱，绳子就越紧。
Golden Horn laughed.
金角笑道。
"You'll never escape the golden rope.
“你永远逃不出金绳。
Tonight I will dine on the Tang Monk!"
今晚我要吃唐僧！”
